LOST & not Found

I seemed to have lost my phone. It's just disappeared. So, unfortunately if you are trying to get a hold me you're S.O.L. I'm due for an upgrade in January so if I don't end up finding the darn thing I'm going to have to get a new one. But if you need to reach me, my work number is 801-951-1118 or after work I'm usually with Alvin 801-928-6077. Cause I'm just so popular you know! JK! (When I find it there will be no missed calls...lol)

Merry Christmas

Here are a few shots from Christmas Eve. We rode the "Polar Express" down to Temple Square with the Eltons. I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas!

Wait Listed!

Two days before Christmas Alvin received a letter from Washington University in St. Louis. Among other things the letter informed us that he has the option to be wait listed! For the past several years Washington University in St. Louis has jumped between 1, 2, and 3 rankings nationally for their PT program. To even get wait listed is a huge compliment to my sweetheart. The future is still very unsure for us as far as where we'll end up for PT School but Santa Claus delivered an unexpected and well deserved gift this year.

We're up to 3

This afternoon we received an email from Creighton requesting Alvin for an interview. This is the third one and it's not even January folks! US News & World Report holds Creighton and University of Utah at a tie for 19th in the country for Physical Therapy programs. Now we just have to find the perfect power tie!

The Weather Wins!

Today at 11:00 we found out that our flight to Portland was canceled. Alvin and I were on the phone for the next few hours with Delta looking at our options. With the only flight open being on the 26th we started asking about other airports; Eugene, Salem, Seattle... everything is overbooked or closed. So unfortunately we are unable to make it up to Salem for the holidays. But after hearing the nightmare weather conditions that are causing these cancellations it's probably a good thing we stay put. The ice storms there have caused plane crashes and power outages. My in-law's have been without power going on 24 hours now. My sister in law Annie went out to get something in her car and said that it was covered with at least an inch and a half of ice. An hour and boiling water later she was able to get into her car. Alvin had a good word for how he felt about all of this, "deflated". Regardless of location we are still bound and determined to have a great Christmas! I'm just glad we found all of this out before showing up at Salt Lake International. So to those in the 801 area code we're still here, let's play!

Holiday Travel

This evening Alvin and I are scheduled to fly to Portland, OR for Christmas. If you've been watching the news you've heard that PDX has been closed. From the looks of things outside in SLC too we might not be lifting off. We've contacted both airports and so far we're still a go but we'll see. I guess today is not a great day to be wearing heels! Wish us luck!

Another Interview...

We got an email from Regis University in Denver, CO. They want Alvin to come and interview! Holy moly the costs to travel to these interviews are adding up. So far we have two scheduled interviews; DMU - Iowa & Regis - Colorado. Northern Arizona and Eastern Washington have sent us 'save the date' notices but haven't confirmed anything as of yet.
