Sure it's got a pool but what about the location!

Just for kicks Alvin and I started looking into buying a small house. This is perhaps the most "grown up" thing I've done (lol). We met with a realtor this afternoon to check out a few places in Salt Lake. Sure they look nice on KSL but it's a different story when your on 900 W and 300 S. The first place was a complete joke. I think the exact words from the realtor were, "slappin' lipstick on an ugly pig". Someone should have invested in a level is all I can say. So after a few eye opening laughs we called it a day. When your realtor carries a tazer it probably should tip you off it's not a good location. There are still a few options further north that we're going to check out tomorrow. Maybe it's not to be and maybe we'll keep sending in our rent check but it's fun to think about - especially while it's such a great time to buy. Que sera sera - but not in anywhere west of I-15 in Salt Lake!
